Today, September 14th, is Hindi Diwas and what could be a better day to start posting my Hindi poems that I wrote when I was a kid. I used to write poems only in Hindi when I started and this one was written perhaps when I was 15 year old. Growing up in a desert, perhaps made me value rain and greenery a little more and a little differently. A good rainfall for even half hour was like a celebration and this poem was written to celebrate a really good spell of rain after 5 long years of drought! My Hindi vocabulary wasn’t that great so it might sound childish. However, I will still hope that you find the same joy that I felt during that rainfall and enjoy the poem too! 😀
